SOUTH LODGE COTTAGE
 
 
With beautiful views of the Constantia mountain and situated within the Constantia Wine-Route of Cape Town, your stay at South Lodge Cottage will be an enjoyable one. Whether it is sitting out on the patio by the swimming pool or relaxing in the tastefully decorated lounge, you will enjoy peace and quiet in this lovely self-contained cottage.
We are close to several fine golf courses, Steenberg, Royal Cape and Westlake, or you can enjoy wine-tasting at the historic Groot Constantia estate or Constantia Uitsig, both nearby. They house two of the country's finest award-winning restaurants, La Colombe and Constantia Uitsig, and there are many more excellent restaurants in the area.  A 15 minute drive will take you to False Bay on the Indian ocean, with many beautiful beaches and the quaint fishing village of Kalk Bay (restaurants, arts & crafts, antiques and collectables).  A short drive in the other direction, over Constantia Nek, brings you to Hout Bay, another colourful fishing harbour, which then leads on to the Atlantic seaboard.   Perhaps stop-off at Constantia Nek, Cecelia, Silvermine or Tokai Forest for gentle mountain walks or hiking.   Cape Town International Airport is half an hour away, the famous Victoria & Alfred Waterfront only a 20 minute drive, and Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens less than 10 minutes drive.
  
 
 
 
FACILITIES
  
 

South Lodge Cottage is a well appointed self-catering cottage, overlooking a sparkling pool set in a large garden, with beautiful views of the mountains. The serviced cottage is tastefully decorated, with an open plan kitchen and sitting room, a spacious double bedroom and bathroom with under-floor heating. It is possible to accommodate a third person in the lounge. Satellite television offers a wide selection of channels.
There is broadband internet access, a sound system and a private telephone.
South Lodge Cottage has its own private entrance and secure off-street parking. It has a well equipped kitchen, and barbeque facilities are also available. Guests staying for two weeks or more may exchange nights booked for a stay at our beach cottage in Hermanus [subject to availability].
Between July and November whales are prolific in Walker Bay and Hermanus offers the finest land based whale-watching in the world.

RATES
  
 
High Season = 1st November- 30th April
Low Season = 1st May - 31st October
 
 
Double = R750 per night
Double = R650 per night
 
 
Single = R650 per night
Single = R550 per night
 
 
 
 
 
For a third person please add on R75 per night regardless of season.
 
 
Rates are negotiable for long stays during the low season.
  
 
Strictly No Smoking in the cottage
  
 
For stays of two weeks or more, a stay at the cottage in Hermanus is offered.

  DIRECTIONS  
     
 
  • Directions from the Airport to
    South Lodge Cottage
  • On leaving the airport, take the highway towards 'City'
  • When you reach the mountain, turn left onto the M3 - 'Muizenberg' turnoff
    (N.B. Do not take the M5 - Muizenberg)
  • Continue on the M3 until the 'Ladies Mile' turnoff
  • Take the turnoff and bear left, then continue up Ladies Mile Road
  • Do not turn off
  • Ladies Mile Road becomes Ladies Mile Extension once you cross over Spaanschematrivier Road
  • Keep a look out for us on the left
